Additionally, on 8/30/2022 The Supreme Court of OH sent a notice that it has permanently removed the self-study CLE cap for all attorneys moving forward in 2023 and beyond OH Supreme Court Notice. Ohio attorneys are required to complete 24 credits including 2.5 credits of Professional Conduct every 2 years.

An attorney's reporting period depends on the first letter of the attorney's last name. Attorneys who complete more than the required hours of credit in a compliance period may apply a maximum of 12 credit hours to the next compliance period, provided they have timely completed and timely reported more than the required number of credit hours in a compliance period. Excess CLE hours are carried over to the next biennial compliance period as general hours.
